About PAHCOM

PAHCOM is a national organization dedicated to promoting professionalism in physician office practice by providing professional development opportunities, continuing education in health care office management principles and practice, and certification for health care office managers.

PAHCOM's goals are:

• to improve the performance of the medical office manager and staff team
• to increase efficiency and revenue of physician practice through the implementation of sound practice management principles

PAHCOM's motto--"PAHCOM Shares Knowledge"--conveys the organization's focus on facilitating communication both among office managers and with the broader health care community including vendors, consultants, medical associations, specialty societies, and other partners.

Since 1988, the Association has provided a forum for physician practice managers to share experience and knowledge and offered opportunities for professional development. PAHCOM provides continuing education, including a bimonthly newsletter and an annual conference; certification as a Certified Medical Manager (CMM); a network of local chapters; and professional support, including a listserv.

PAHCOM's purpose is the continuous pursuit of excellence in the management of physician office practices. Its strength and foundation is the professionalism and dedication of its members.
