Karen Blanchette
PAHCOM Association Director

It's true that Karen is Richard's daughter and as such learned of PAHCOM years before the first CMM exam was ever written.  Karen was in college when PAHCOM was launched and remembers stuffing envelopes and helping out at the first Annual Conference in 1989. Karen brings over 18 years of management experience to her position as the PAHCOM director.

Karen gained extensive experience as a healthcare administrator in the US Navy working in large hospitals and small clinics. As a Lieutenant, Medical Service Corps, Karen served as the senior administrator of the 65 bed hospital onboard the USS John C. Stennis. One of her additional duties was to conduct the occupational health nuclear radiation program. Karen was the first woman healthcare manager assigned to an Aircraft Carrier.

Karen went on to diversify her career and excelled in Information Technology sales at Computer Associates. She led software development teams at CIBC, the second largest bank in Canada. In her personal life Karen holds a World Record in skydiving and is a tireless advocate for the empowerment of women through positive life experiences.

Karen earned both her Bachelor of Science in Management and Masters in Business Administration from the University of West Florida.
