Examination Content Outline

The written examination consists of 200 multiple choice questions covering the following areas of medical practice management:

Billing and Collections
Coding Analysis
Communication
Compliance
Conflict Management
Employment and Payroll
Financial Planning
Health Care Law

Managing and Leading
Practice Accounting
Practice Marketing

Schedule and Fees

The fee for the CMM exam is $385. Click on the link above to open and complete an application form. Once your application has been approved, you have one year from the date of application to sit for the examination. You may choose to take the three-hour written examination in one of three ways:

1. online at a testing center near you

2. on paper at a chapter-sponsored site (see schedule below)

3. on paper in conjunction with the annual PAHCOM conference (see schedule below)
