Wednesday, July 28th was Pikes Peak PAHCOM's first annual Corporate Sponsor Appreciation Night. The evening was hosted by the Executive Committee and with over forty people in attendance, the evening was considered a resounding success with a lot of networking and a small presentation mixed in.
Hot hors d'oeuvres, cheese and crackers, crudites, fruit, and dessert were served in addition to wine and iced tea. The purpose of the event was to thank our corporate sponsors for their support, and to acknowledge that without their support, we would not be able to provide our members with the high caliber educational programs we offer.
President Janet Burch, CMM, gave a brief history and purpose of our local chapter including our relationship with the National organization. She concluded by introducing the members of the Executive Committee. This was followed by a presentation from Debbie Carlson, CMM, our Corporate Sponsor Liaison.
Debbie spoke about the benefits of being a corporate sponsor, the different tiers of sponsorship available, and the benefits each tier provides. She then took the attendees through a video tour of our website and focused everyone's attention to the section outlining our corporate sponsors. The room became abuzz as the sponsors saw their web page appear with their logo. Questions were sparked by some sponsors as to how they could increase their tier level to get the benefit of a web page.
Debbie concluded by announcing our first corporate sponsor contest. An ipod will be given to the corporate sponsor who brings the most member candidates to our membership drive in October. The grand prize is a flip video given to the corporate sponsor whose has the most candidates join both PAHCOM and Pikes Peak PAHCOM by the end of the year.
You could feel the electricity in the air, the Executive Committee smiled, and we felt our mission was accomplished!
