Retention of certification requires CMMs to obtain 24 hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) every two years and submit documentation to PAHCOM along with a $75 processing fee.
Continuous PAHCOM Membership is required.

CEUs — What can be counted toward your re-certification?

CEU credit is authorized for most educational sessions, seminars, courses, etc. providing training/information relevant to duties as an office manager. The sessions are not required to be pre-approved by PAHCOM at this time, but information must be relevant, and the presenter recognized as qualified and credible. Self study courses, except those specifically approved in advance by PAHCOM, are not authorized for CEU credit. CEUs — When can the be submitted?

When you have collected 24 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for your next re-certification, you may go ahead and submit them. Your two year cycle remains the same regardless of how early you submit CEUs. If you are due for re-certification in Apr 2011, submitting CEUs now will not change your cycle and your next re-certification will be due April 2013. Extra CEUs (over and above the required 24) do not count towards re-certification, and cannot be applied forward. Late re-certifications will not be accepted and your credential will be decertified. Once decertified, you must re-test in order to regain your CMM.

How do I know what my re-certification date is?

PAHCOM Member Self-Care is your profile manager portal and displays your CMM Recertification Due Date. Login to the Member Tools and select Member Self-Care to review and manage your profile.

Ready to re-certify?

Click here to submit your CEUs (24 or more) and process your CMM Re-Certification. You will be emailed confirmation of your recertification as well as a receipt for your fee payment. Further confirmation of approval of your recertification can be seen in your Member Self-Care panel. The CMM Recertification Due date will be adjusted by two years to reflect your current certification is approved.
