No. Only active members of the national organization are eligible for chapter membership. PAHCOM membership is based on Sharing Knowledge across a network of thousands of medical office managers. It's this network that makes PAHCOM the exceptional professional resource that it is.
Yes. There are PAHCOM Chapters all across the United States. Chapters typically meet monthly and offer educational instruction at chapter meetings. Use the Chapter Directory to locate a chapter near you!
Go to: PAHCOM.com > Membership & Community > Chapters and see Chapter Directory in the left margin menu.
All legitimate PAHCOM Chapters are listed in the PAHCOM Chapter Directory. Only approved Chapters have the authority to use the PAHCOM name and share PAHCOM resources. If you are aware of PAHCOM Chapters not listed in this directory, please contact the CSC Chairperson.
Go to: PAHCOM.Com > Membership & Community > Chapters and see Chapter Support Committee in the left margin menu.
If you are logged in to the PAHCOM website, you can see a list of members of any given PAHCOM chapter on the bottom right of the chapter's webpage - http://www.pahcom.com/chapters/chapter_directory.php
Chapter webpages are also available at PAHCOM-ChapterName.com Examples are:
Each PAHCOM Chapter has five officers and one liaison from the Chapter Support Committee. The CSC Liaison is assigned to offer your chapter additional support on a national level and assist with sharing knowledge across all chapters in concert with other CSC Liaisions and the CSC Chair. It is through coordinated knowledge sharing that PAHCOM is able to provide the best access to information and resources in the industry!
Each chapter's liaison can be contacted through that chapter's webpage and through the CSC page here - http://www.pahcom.com/chapters/support-committee.html
Chapter webpages are at: PAHCOM hyphen ChapterName dot com. Here's an example: PAHCOM-TraverseCity.com
Yes. Conference exhibiting is open to all quality products and service providers for the medical office management industry. Corporate Members of PAHCOM receive significant discounts for exhibiting at the national conference. That same courtesy discount is extended Gold Level Chapter Sponsors.
Ten COTY points are awarded for each new member who, when joining PAHCOM, identifies one of your chapter members as the member who referred them to PAHCOM. No points are earned if the new member fails credit your chapter member. When referring someone, be sure he/she understands the importance of crediting your chapter member by name as part of the registration process.
The system will ask new members if they were referred by a member. The question cannot be skipped and must be answered yes or no. Yes answers then require a name of a member. If that member is an active member of your chapter, then that chapter gets credit for the referral. The referring member also receives benefit in the form of $10 in PAHCOM Bucks to their account.
One of the best ways to introduce medical managers to PAHCOM is to have them attend a meeting and see first-hand the quality of resources PAHCOM provides. Let them know that Chapter meetings are just one of the many benefits of belonging to PAHCOM and encourage them to join.
Non-members may attend a maximum of three (3) Chapter meetings before being required to join PAHCOM, so use the opportunity to impress upon them the value of all PAHCOM offers.
Guests should RSVP to chapter meetings and must sign in on the attendance sheet just like members do. Sponsors also should RSVP and must sign in.
Your Chapter Webpage on the PAHCOM website in the Chapter Directory (http://www.pahcom.com/chapters/chapter_directory.php) will list current meeting details. Below the meeting details click on “see all chapter events” to be linked to the Education Calendar where you can filter by Chapter or date.
You can always access your Chapter Webpage any of these three ways:
- The bottom of My Membership, blue page, Chapter Section. When you log in at PAHCOM.com, you'll automatically be in My Membership, on the blue page. Just scroll down to the Chapter section and you'll see a link to your Chapter Webpage.
- Your Chapter Webpage address follows a simple formula. It's PAHCOM-ChapterName.com Examples include: PAHCOM-Orlando.com or PAHCOM-PikesPeak.com. This make it easy to communicate your chapter webpage to both members and non-members so they can begin following what's happening with your chapter too.
- Use the Chapter Directory as noted earlier. It's available at PAHCOM.com > Membership & Community > Chapters
Zero. It does not cost any money to be a PAHCOM Chapter. The PAHCOM National Office provides chapter leaders with free services to help the chapters be more efficient and productive. The chapter websites and named domains are one example of services for chapters. And the national office actually pays chapters for meeting attendance. The more members attend chapter meetings, the more money the chapters make. The Chapter Handbook (available in the Member Library) explains much of how this works.
Contact the Chapter Support Committee Chairperson by going to PAHCOM.com > Membership & Community > Chapters and see Chapter Support Committee in the left margin menu to get initial information. Use the member directory (PAHCOM.com > Membership & Community > My Membership) to locate other managers in your area who might be interested in helping start a chapter. Get excited, get involved and get others on board.
My Membership "short-cut":
Log in from the top right corner of any PAHCOM.com page and you'll automatically land in My Membership!
