My career as an office manager began quickly and unexpectedly. I was asked by a friend of mine to set up his medical office and get everything ready for his transition from a multispecialty clinic practice to private practice. I had no experience whatsoever in setting up or managing a medical practice. Of course, I needed help - someone to serve as a mentor to provide guidance during my journey.
