10/28/2019 - The First Annual, PAHCOM Northeast Regional Partnership’s Practice Intelligence Symposium
The First Annual, PAHCOM Northeast Regional Partnership’s Practice Intelligence Symposium was held at the Embassy Suites in Newark, Delaware on September 26 & 27, 2019. We were honored to have Karen Blanchette MBA, our PAHCOM National Director in attendance.
This unique foray into collaborative learning between the Delco, Lehigh Valley, Pa., Newark, De., and Rockville, Md. chapters was immensely successful! This very special, three prong learning conference was a labor of love for the Committee members who worked tirelessly to make this the inspirational accomplishment it became.
The Embassy Suites in Newark, De. was a delightful venue partner serving up tasty food and snacks, comfy suites to rest our weary bones at night and spacious conference rooms where plenty of timely information, key networking and needed education was absorbed.
The conference started off on Thursday with the first section of this rare event: an iMap Leadership Course given by Connie Charles. Leadership is the key when you want to have a successful business and motivate your staff and the audience was treated to many points on how to become a great Leader.
The second section of this groundbreaking occasion was our offering of the PAHCOM CMM Exam. Several members took part and passed this challenging exam including Delco’s own VP, Andrea Fay and Cara Reynolds...congrats!
The Symposium then took off to deliver jam, packed informational learning sessions on such timely topics as: Updates from CMS, Your Practice Compliance Toolbox, Strategic Planning 2.0 and Data Drive Profit. This informational happening ended on Friday evening with a rousing presentation by Sarah Fontenot on: Seeing 2020: A clear Vision of the Future of Healthcare and Practice Management. Anybody who has ever heard Sarah speak knew this was the perfect way to close this outstanding event.
Congratulations to all of the Committee members, the outstanding speakers, attendees and the many Premier Partner Exhibitors who collaborated to make this “First Annual Practice Intelligence Symposium the success that it became. We are all looking forward and have begun planning next year’s event.
Our October speakers were both from the non-profit company called Quality Insights. These ladies gave insightful information on how their organization can help physician practices use data and community solutions to help improve healthcare quality in physicians practices.
